MEET THE AUTHOR
KIMBERLY MARIE
HELLO THERE! Thank you for being here.
I'm Kimberly, and I like to consider myself a consumer of stories. I have always embraced the beauty of imagination and its ability to transport someone to a new world, so it was only natural that I put my own imagination on paper.
Featuring mainly character driven plots, my works focus on the journey of my characters, creating multi layered stories that embrace growth and the human experience. As an author who refuses to label myself with a genre, I choose to focus on the protagonists and where life takes them, rather than fitting into a predetermined mold.
Throughout school I always had a penchant for writing, but it was not until I lived and worked in Washington, D.C. after college that I discovered my deep love of reading.
Having run out of room on every bookshelf in my home, I have now picked up the pen to write stories of my own.
When I am not writing new works you can find me cheering on my New Jersey Devils hockey team at home games or taking long drives on back roads to clear my head. Those are my favorite. It is those moments where some of my best writing is done and my thoughts come to life.
I currently reside in New Jersey, where I was raised, with my dog, Buddy, who is featured constantly in my Instagram stories.
You can connect with my on social media, where I post updates about coming projects and share short poems and epigrams.

THE SUN AT DAWN
The Sun at Dawn is a women’s fiction, taking place in Victorian Era England. Annabelle Faraday, a girl raised with both the spirit and means to achieve every dream imaginable, finds herself on the doorstep of Auburn Academy for Girls at the age of eight scarred by tragedy. Age 19 at the time of the novel, she is now a governess at Arrington, an estate in the English countryside owned by a man of stone.
Tending to Mr. Worthington’s niece and nephew quickly becomes the least of her worries, however, as she contends with memories of her past creeping up on her. Constant bickering with a stubborn man who challenges the crux of first impressions makes her life no easier. She finds herself treading carefully, working to wear down her demons while upholding her spirit.
Challenging the perceptions of guilt, forgiveness, intelligence, and happiness, all Annabelle Faraday wishes for is to unlock the shackles of her past and move forward. Her story is one of heartbreak, but also of growth as she wrestles with her fate at every turn. Believing heavily that life can only become worse in the ambiguity of the unknown, it will take much more than a stubborn Englishman to prove her wrong as she fights for a new dawn.
